Advisory board

Research and teaching within the Department of Environmental Sciences focus on issues of sustainable development. This requires the incorporation of partners in society and industry. To strengthen this co-operation, an advisory committee was founded, giving representatives of industry and public authorities the opportunity to exchange ideas and views with the members of the department.

The committee acts as a channel for the interplay between the activities of the department and developing needs in society and economy. It also supports students embarking on a career upon graduating by organising places for students to gain practical work experience or to carry out projects for term or degree papers in a professional context. Conversely, it acts as a channel for feedback about marketable skills, abilities and qualifications from employers to the department. It thereby provides valuable imput for the future development and improvements to the curriculum.
