Graduation Ceremony Agricultural Sciences and Food Science

More than 100 graduates of different master's degree programms celebrated their graduation on March 17.

The overall 37 students of Agricultural Sciences and 64 students of Food Science listened to guest speakers such as Ueli Vögeli, director of Agrovet-Strickhof, Marc Lutz, president of Swiss Society of Food Science and Technology (SGLWT), Peter Braun, president of Agro-Food-Network SVIAL, Michael Roux from the Agri-Food-Alumni, Karl Gschwend for the presentation of Hochdorf-Preis and Maja Baumann for the Enkelin Vontobel-Preis.
 

  • As best-of-the-year master student Anette Lanter was given the Willi-Studer-Preis of ET
  • Samuel Hauenstein has been given the ETH-Medal for his thesis «How resilient is the tef value chain in Ethiopia?» mentored by Prof. Johan Six
  • Stephanie Cheesman was given the Vontobel-Preis for her theses «Finding the truth in wishful thinking: an on-farm study on maize-based conservation agriculture systems in Southern Africa» mentored by Prof. Emmanuel Frossard .
