Research area
During my studies I delved into many fields of biology, and although I found it all interesting my long standing interest in evolution led me to pursue a master's degree in evolutionary biology. I am particularly fascinated by the interplay of different evolutionary forces leading to plants' adaptation to their environment.
My Ph.D. project revolves around exploring altitudinal adaptation in two study systems, the alpine carnations, Dianthus sylvestris and D. carthusianorum. By using a reciprocal transplant experiment, combined with genomic analyses I aim to elucidate both the ecological patterns and the genetic architecture of altitudinal adaptation.
