Plant Collections
Together, the combined plant collections of the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich number nearly 3.5 million permanent specimens from all over the world. The Botanical Plant Collection concentrates mainly on the flora of Switzerland and Central Europe, New Caledonia and southern Africa. There are particularly extensive collections of alchemillas, potentillas, roses and rubus. Of the fungi, agaricomycetidae and pucciniales (rust fungi) are especially well represented.
