The military accepts requests for service deferral if the military service falls into the examination or examination preparation period.
The application must be sent to the assigned location at least 14 weeks before the start of the service.

Procedure:

- Download and fill in Military external pageservice deferral form (in German)
- Get the completed form signed by the Study Administration
- Forward the application to the corresponding authority in the military

If the application is rejected, the Verbindungsstelle Armee und Hochschulen offers advice in the search for alternative solutions or when applying for reconsideration.
